Summer Time, Greymouth, NZ Style!
10th March 2010
Ever wondered what the waves are like in your neighbours back yard? Not anymore! Our mate Jolan Kilkelly has fired us some shots from his hometown in New Zealand. The boy has some skilz on the knee and judging by the proof, I am sure you will agree.
He has even been kind enough to give you an insight into what the past season has dished up.
The Reeflex Winter range 2010 will be available from the Isolated online shop for all our Kiwi brothers.

The Blaketown Wedge in Greymouth has had a great selection of banks this summer. The start of the season brought locals fresh Shorey banks at the Breakwall and with the small swells received at the end of January this was a perfect combo.
Recently, a storm mixed up the sand real good and created some freshies out the middle peak and the corner slab has awoken again.
I’m not sure how the Mandurah Wedge works, but the Blaketown Wedge changes it’s banks so often throughout the year. It’s kind of a good thing as the locals are getting good variety from the one surf break. Blaketown is very tidal! You could be surfing a fat reform in the middle, then two hours later, tide dropping, you could be surfing a super sucky corner bank which is so hollow and heavy you’d think you were surfing a reefy.
Summer 2010 has been pretty fricken good, lots of variety, heaps of sun and loads of waves.

Autumn Is Here
5th March 2010
Those of you that follow the Fever pretty closely will know that he was not in Hawaii this year for the first IBA World Tour Grand Slam event, the Turbo Pipeline Pro due to the pending arrival of his second child smack bang in the middle of the waiting period.
Winny needed some luck on both sides in order to make the event. He had to be there for the birth and then also still make it to the Rock on time for his heat. With an initial due date of February 22nd and the contest holding out to be run on the last day of the waiting period he had one ounce of luck on his side but like all good fairy tales Dave required both and the new arrival was content to crib in Aimee’s womb a little longer therefore diminishing the chances of being able to compete and witness the birth of his second child, two of his great loves.
So like all good fathers Winny stuck by his wife’s side and missed the contest but lucky for him as if he had headed over for the final day of competition he would not of have made it back in time for the arrival of Autumn. I am talking about the fine season ahead of us and Dave and Aimee’s new daughter, Autumn Winchester. It just happens to be a coincidence that Autumn was born on the first day of Autumn; March 1st 2010. So now Coco has a little sister to play with and Dave has more nappies to change in between chasing the rest of the Word Tour with the next event here in Australia on the Central Coast in mid April.
