This Sunny Coaster from Maroochydore is the 2009 Raw Nationals Cadet Champion and is the latest addition to the team. La Cram as he is known around the traps impressed not only the judges but his peers and the pros alike at his first national title tilt.
With a well deserved win over fellow team rider Lewy Finnegan, Lachlan’s surfing is well ahead of his age. A strong, smooth style and a bag of tricks bigger than Santa’s sack La Cram’s competitive future has surely begun. What makes his feats more impressive is that 2009 was the first year that Lachie competed at any level of competition.
This saw him win all 9 rounds in the cadet division of the Sunshine Coast Bodyboard Club. Whilst at the Raw Nationals he gave the pro division a dig and proceeded through four rounds, not bad for a 15 yr old!
2010 is going to be a big year for this blond mop top, travelling down the coast in search of bigger swells and trying his luck in a pro comp or two along the way.
